From Peaks to Shores : Costa Rica’s Ultimate Month Long Journey

From Peaks to Shores : Costa Rica’s Ultimate Month Long Journey
We are happy to share a program we have developed in collaboration with 3 farms. We have gathered experiences from people who have visited our projects and this is what we came up with to offer a consolidated adventure that will provide many memories, learning, and fun.
You will be able to live a week in each place meeting different ecosystems, mechanics, and techniques of living in the Costa Rica’s rural lifestyle.
We want to keep the path of food sovereignty in harmony with nature and the local community, through this program you will support not only 4 projects but 4 communities, families, neighborhoods, and many workers.
We will provide transportation from San José and to each farm. From Monday to Friday, we expect you to participate in the agenda of the program, while Saturday and Sunday mornings for tours and exploration of the surrounding area. Looking for groups of 4 people to build community during the month.

Disclaimers
For this program, we kindly ask you for 4 hours of commitment of support to each project.
After arrival, no money can be returned. 1 month before arrival, if you can't come, we will refund 50% of the total amount.
We cannot support special requests for different diets, you can bring any extra supplies needed.
We reserve our rights to keep people on the farm or ask you to leave if there's a situation of disrespect, offense, or abuse to another person, animal, or infrastructure.
You must provide insurance.
We will provide you with basic training to move around the farm and contribute safely. We are not responsible for solving all your questions or expectations during your stay.
Some days we might not share the full day with the group, we might have projects going on or different tasks to attend at the farm. Either way, we will be always available for questions, doubts or help you may need. Please keep in mind that holding space for you to learn, grow, and have fun requires a great effort from the Dalö community.
In case of emergency, we will provide you with immediate support with our first-aid kit or call 911. We strongly advise you to provide insurance.
If you cannot work one day for online work or studies we will ask you for a contribution of ₡14000, so we can pay one of our local collaborators to take your place. Please try to arrange your duties in your free time to not disturb the regular farm schedule.
If you experience any kind of sickness such as diarrhea, vomiting, migraine, or injuries that prevent you from using your extremities, we will provide you with immediate assistance with our first aid kit and natural medicine suggestions. If your condition persists, we will advise you to seek medical attention. If you choose to stay at the farm for rest, but not participate in our regular schedule, we kindly request a contribution of ₡8000 per day. This fee will cover the costs of one of our local collaborators(This way you will support a local family providing a job opportunity while you rest). It is often desired to remove money from the equation when it comes to farm work, however, there are situations where individuals refuse to perform tasks just to take the day off. This can be frustrating, especially when there isn't an underlying medical condition causing the reluctance to work. Thank you for your understanding.
