Dalö Tsána was a dream come true —. We (my partner and I) did a little bit of everything. We learned a ton about sustainable organic farming, meditation, spirituality, community living, and Costa Rican indigenous communities. We worked with our hands and helped build/renovate/maintain many garden spaces, fruit orchards, and even a tilapia pond! We met THE MOST AMAZING people from different parts of the world. The ever-so-common conversations on the porch were one of our favorite memories. We have a group text now and I’m certain we will all stay friends for life after such a close bonding experience. So nice to have friends around the world!! The owner & operator, Michael, is super cool, fun, driven, intelligent, intuitive, and vision-focused. While also very warm-hearted, loving, and a great meditation practitioner. It takes a special type of person to execute such an incredible endeavor and it wouldn’t work without Michael. So much love and thanks to him —. Other highlights include the 2 kg block of cheese we bought for cheap from a neighbor, the waterfall(s), the puppies, kittens, Melo, and so many more that you will have to just go to see for yourself.

I am truly grateful for having the opportunity to visit Dalö Tsàna, words can’t describe what this experience has given me. Please visit this place if you are able, and experience a truly magical place. See the mountains of Turrialba, hear the sounds of the deep jungle, eat fresh vegetables from the food garden, work with like-minded intelligent people on the earth, listen to Michael playing the pan drum, and be human again. Thank you Dalö Tsàna for all of this. I Will revisit you always in my mind whenever things are tough.
— Monica Berenji - SWE

What a place. It is hard to describe in words but I can truly say that I felt connected again, not only with myself but with the people I met and the nature that surrounded us. I stayed 3 weeks but could have stayed way longer. If you are looking for an authentic off-the-grid experience with good people, love to work in the Gardens and take care of plants, and love to learn more about organic farming, go to Dalö tsána!
Thank you so much, Michael, Melo, Johnny, and all the beautiful souls I met. I would love to see the further development of Dalö tsána and the projects that are coming (also the mural ;))
See you all again!
— Laura Rossa - BEL

I went to Dalo Tsana for 3 weeks and stayed for 6! It was very hard to leave. The power of this wonderful farm is hard to express in words and I learned so much. The beauty of the ever-changing mountains, the people, and the vibe is incredibly special. Michael has created something extraordinary- a medicinal plant farm and a unique home for like-minded, curious, beautiful souls to come together, appreciate nature and connect. It is a truly magical place. I really enjoyed the variety of jobs we did on the farm and all the additional activities. This place helped me find calm and allowed me to grow and heal, confront and express myself in ways I didn’t think were possible. I cannot recommend it enough.

Thank you Michael, Melo, Lua, Neron, Chimu, Montañe, and kittens for sharing your home and your love x
— Flora Spencer - UK
Wow where to begin. My Dalö Tsána experience was magical - thank you Michael for creating such a wonderful offering. I loved working on the farm, learning about the medicinal plants, and of course taking part in the meditations. Michael holds space in such a beautiful way and I’m very grateful to him and my fellow Woofers for such a great experience. Dalo offers something very unique and authentic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
— Lucy Polluck - UK

dalo tsana is so much more than a farm to volunteer for. it is a place for love, meditation, vulnerability, contemplation, and alignment…. I truly believe everyone could benefit from immersing themselves in the experience at dalo tsana. show up for yourself, for the community, for mother nature, I couldn’t recommend more! I will be overflowing with gratitude forever, my life is changed after a short three weeks.
— Tallie Ness - USA
Great place with amazing people. Especially recommend to people who have an open mind and are in need to take a break from their everyday stress lives.
— Manuel Costa - Portugal
my time at dalö tsana was the most magical, we shared not just unconditional love with one another but knowledge about farm work and life. in the mountains of Turrialba, you can make peace within yourself and step out of the daily routine in your life. there is always time for deep conversations, meditation, or yoga sessions. to live in a community means to share with each other and be gentle. 5 hours (flexible) of work a day and the rest you can spend however you like. michael created the most beautiful farm with the help of a community that believed in his dreams. if life gives you the chance to be at dalö tsana, you are a blessed one! I recommend a stay with michael, it will transcend your life to something more meaningful. come with an open heart and no expectations and you will feel the magic of this beautiful place!

Staying with Michael and Dalo Tsana was our 4th WWOOF excursion and probably our most shining. Michael is creating an incredible space that I think many people are yearning for. The land is breathtakingly beautiful and Michael is cultivating an equally breathtaking atmosphere of empathy, acceptance, introspection, and Truth-seeking. Days consisted of empowering work, meditation, incredible meals, and equal space for laughter and serious discussion. I cannot recommend Dalo Tsana enough. Anyone who has an opportunity to stay here would be foolish not to. We will definitely be making return trips.

Peace, tranquility, learning, growth, deep soulful connection, nature in abundance... you’ll find all of that and much more here at Dalo Tsana! This is an absolutely wonderful mission being led by Michael in Costa Rica.
Lots of plant maintenance and new planting need to be done all the time.
Many new projects are ready to start.
Tons of information on medicinal plants and their uses.
Communal gatherings for meditation, reading powerful spiritual book passages followed by discussion, cooking together, activities that anyone wishes to host (like my group hosting partner acrobatic and massage classes) along with some that Michael himself leads like a heart-opening ceremony we did one night that was beautiful and very lovely for deepening our connections with one another and becoming more in sync with our own heart-center.
As far as the farm amenities you can expect a bed/lodging, plenty of bathrooms and showers (no hot water but the showers are nice and big), plenty of space for cooking and cooking tools, a new kitchen is currently being made and two new bathrooms which will bring the total to three on the farm. There is another group space being created currently but the one we’re using for gathering and meals was quite nice even for our total group of people which ranged from 12-14 through the time we were there.
Expect a host with wonderful communication and leadership skills.
For transportation expect to get to Platanillo by Bus where Michael will pick you up.
— Bryson Lloyd - USA
We stayed with Michael for a bit over 6 weeks. We participated first in the volunteering program together with about 10 other people. The farm itself is very beautiful and quiet, you find an amazing view wherever you go. There are plenty of spaces where you can hang out either with people or be by yourself. Working on the farm was also very diverse and rewarding. We took a lot of care of the medicinals and the food garden, planted trees, organized the space, and did lots of building. The hours were really fair and the food was always super tasty.
The porch was the place to be. Lots of chatting, drawing, meditating, group activities, and simple good times.

Later we participated in the first Dalo Tsana Retreat and workshop and loved it as well.

Thank you Micheal for your time and passion, we really hope to see you again.

Lots of love,
Denise and Stefan

This is a place of healing and respect. Michael is passionate about medicinal plants and personal growth. He is a direct communicator and values nonviolent communication. There is no lack of work both in the gardens and in the upkeep and construction of facilities. Sometimes it feels a bit ad hoc, so you’ll be a good fit if that is ok with you. This is a real community experience, where it works best if you are keen to work for the community and for the farm. The setting is very rural and in the mountains. It feels very safe and volunteer accommodations are good but not fancy- cold shower , limited Internet connectivity, are the main rough spots. I enjoyed it greatly!
— Rick Bellagh - USA
As my first WWOOF, Dalö Tsána was an excellent place! I truly resonate with Michale’s vision to bring natural herbal healing and knowledge of the shamanistic culture to today’s society and integrating spirituality and psychology as well. The farm itself is unbelievably peaceful and there’s so much to explore like the viewpoint, the waterfall, and even around the main house. There are many different opportunities to utilize your skills in permaculture, herbs, animals, baking, or art.

My favorite parts about my stay at Dalö Tsána were the moments that we spent together on the porch. We ate, learned, talked, cooked, dreamed, and meditated together. Doing these things together with Michale and the other volunteers gave me a sense of being understood and cared for; I looked forward to those moments of healing every day.

The moments that will always stay in my heart are the times that we visited a local family where we simply listened to them and learned the ways that they make cheese, despite the language barriers. Each time we saw the family, their beautiful kindness and generosity filled my heart, I got to see firsthand the real meaning of community and connection in a way that I have never experienced which I am eternally grateful for.

The work in the nursery, garden, and animals is sometimes strenuous. Any struggles that you might face personally or physically, be open to the messages and little moments of magic to remind you why you came! Pura Vida :)
— Ayana Plummer - USA
I’m so grateful to have been a part of the ever-changing community that is Dälo Tsána. It is a place of synchronicity, honesty, and learning. Thank you to the land, Michael, and Melo for opening the space up for growth. Whether it was through the farming work, Maracuya transplanting, or cooking, there was always something to be shared and learned. Michael is an understanding, loving, and direct person. There are some really powerful relationships to be had here if you allow it.
— Gabriel Yetnikoff - USA

My Experience at Dalö Tsana was amazing. Michael is very nice, welcoming, helping, enthusiastic and open-minded. He has a lot of knowledge and is very motivated to keep the farm growing and I learned a lot. The location is in the mountains and perfect to also do some selfwork or meditation and reconnect with nature. I loved spending time here helping with the projects, the Farm and having some great Meditations and conversations with the other volunteers and Michael. I would recommend the farm and am planning to come back here some time.
— Vicky Szalontai - GER
Dalo Tsana is a magical place that forces you to slow down and reconnect with the natural world. Our time at Dalo Tsana brought us peace, reflection, health, happiness and friendships and memories that will last lifetimes. I can’t say enough good things about it- you will eat delicious food, learn about the science and history of the land, meet locals and travelers from all walks of life, learn to breathe deeper and love fuller. The work is hard and rewarding. The host Michael, is very kind and will go out of his way to ensure you’re doing work you care about and will arrange trips for you to experience the authentic Costa Rica. We can’t recommend Dalo Tsana enough and will be back again soon!
— Darian Woehr - USA
Dalö Tsána is such an amazing place to be.
Volunteering at the farm, surrounded by fantastic people, the animals, and the impressive nature, was such a nice experience. I learned so much about myself, spirituality, farming, and a different way to live a fulfilled life.
It was great to be a part of all these projects and processes.
I would recommend volunteering at this wonderful place to everyone.
— Maya Tatoli - GER

The opportunity I had at Dalö Tsána was very special, I learned a lot about food production, spirituality, community, and myself. The isolated property disconnects you from the world to reconnect to Nature.
If you are still hesitating about a place to stay in Costa Rica, this is the place to go. Got to meet very conscious people that made the experience unique.
Michael won’t disappoint you, in fact, the 2 months there completely exceeded my expectations.
Gracias Michael

Dalö Tsána was my first place here in Costa Rica, and I felt at home from the first moments. I spent 3 wonderful weeks there. Michael and Melo did everything they could so we can have a great stay. Nature is everywhere in those mountains and the animals of the farm all have something special! I learned a lot about organic agriculture and medicinal plants, but I also learned about spirituality and to open more my mind and my heart.
I leave this place with the feeling that something changed inside me, and I really recommend this experience to everyone!
PS : try the cheese and the pastries from Doña Rosa!
Gracias Dalö Tsána, pura vida,

I COULD NOT RECOMMEND VOLUNTEERING AT DALO TSANA ENOUGH!!!!! The family you will become a part of when you work at Dalo Tsana becomes a part of your chosen family for life. The energy throughout the farm was welcoming, accepting, and unconditionally loving. Being even a small part of the mission that Michael and the farm are working on was truly amazing. The positive impact the farm is striving to have on the local community is heartwarming. Not to mention the farm is in the most beautiful place in the world I have ever been to! I am so grateful to have gotten to work on this farm and without a doubt, I intend to return to Dalo Tsana.
— Mary Locher - USA

Espero poder regresar pronto!
— Regina Arreguín - MEX
My time at Dalö Tsána was incredible. The farm is breathtaking and provides a unique firsthand experience of life in the Costa Rican mountains. The house is a sanctuary to unwind and recharge in the mornings, evenings, and during breaks throughout the day. Whether you’re hanging out, meditating, eating, or playing music, it is heaven on earth. Both Michael (owner/host), and Everest (who helps run and operate the farm), we’re welcoming and helpful in navigating my way to the farm. At the farm, there are many ongoing projects, which were exciting to be a part of or get an overview of. Michael loves to share his vision of what he wants Dalö Tsána to be, and even during my relatively short time there, it was so easy to feel connected and become part of the larger mission of the farm.

I also got to travel to both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts during my stay in Costa Rica with Michael, Everest and other volunteers. Using the buses and private rides, we were able to get the full expansive traveling experience. I know they are working on creating a structured itinerary for trips like this in the future, incorporating an aspect of tourism, and local connection with other farms. If you are planning on a visit to Dalö Tsána, ask ahead about any trips they may be taking, I recommend going with!

Additional Note: If you are traveling to Dalö Tsána solo, I would advise getting familiar with the bus routes/journey. It can be a bit confusing, and make sure to secure a ride up the mountain.
— Corey Robinson
Dalö Tsána is an incredible place— it is indescribable how peaceful the farm feels and how much love is present all around. I had no idea before arriving that my experience on the farm would be so profound. I arrived at the farm with a lot of anxieties within myself regarding my home life— and just feeling stuck overall. But from my time on the farm, I was able to have deep levels of self-reflection and connection with amazing people that truly shifted the ways I view my life. I would recommend anyone to come to Dalö Tsána, whether you are feeling “stuck” in your life or if you are just looking for a great adventure, Dalö Tsána has something to offer for anybody. I am honored to have been able to help contribute to the ultimate vision of this wonderful place and cannot wait to return one day soon!

Dalö Tsána was a beautiful haven in the mountains of Turrialba. I made lifelong friends from all around the world. I got to work with the soil and the soul. I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything. I am grateful to Michael for providing the space and direction for this beautiful project. I know someday it will be everything he dreams it will be. Gracias a Michael y Madre Tierra y todos de Dalö Tsána

My experience at Dalö Tsàna was, in two simple words, life-changing. Upon arriving at the far, I was immediately engulfed in an intensely palpable feeling of community. I was so accepted into the familia, which made my traveling experience so much more impactful.
Traveling around the country was an adventure out of a novel. I found myself immersed in the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of Costa Rica in the most beautiful way. In our travels, I felt so fully free and accepted. We danced, ate, laughed, and talked so freely as we waltzed around the Caribbean and Pacific coasts of Costa Rica.
I returned home with new glasses to view the world with and resumed normal life with a new outlook on how I work, communicate, experience and love.
Thank you Dalö Tsàna for guiding me to crecer en un flor nueve, más libre y con paz en mi alma.
— Leilani Renda - USA
Upon arrival to the farm, you immediately feel so safe to open and blossom into your truest self you yearn to share with others. After meeting, working, and connecting with so many lovely people at the farm it was such a beautiful experience to travel the entirety of Costa Rica as a family. Dalo Tsana did wonderful assuring safe travels and transportation and amidst the mosaic of jungle and beach adventuring, I was also able to meet musicians, healers, scientists, and such lovely human beings. From this experience, I have gained confidence and strength in my love. Yo soy agradesia divinidadmente para la finca y mi familia. Gracias, y te amo.

Dalö Tsána is an amazing Finca that is striving to break down barriers of corporate-consumer lifestyles and create a space for people to live a real life. Volunteering on the farm was a holistic and enriching experience. Not only did I learn about farming, but about plant medicine, spirituality, cooking, and different ways of living. Michael really strives to not only make Dalö Tsána a place for work but a home and a community for all that come. Volunteering at Dalö Tsána exceeded all of my expectations. Saying goodbye was hard, but I left knowing that one day I would be back.
— Denae Hollar - USA
When you enter this land, there is no turning back, my experience was filled with a deep understanding of life, nature, human beings, and much much more. The land is purely magical, the energy is very healing and the guardian of the space, Michael has immense energy to offer and to put into projects and conversations. I meet and connected very deeply with wonderful people with whom I continued to travel with after our time at the farm.
I would more than recommend this space and experience if you want to deeply reconnect with nature and start introspecting more. There are lots to do with Mama earth - getting your hands in there!- while having meaningful reflection and philosophical conversations.
Thank you!
— EVA RYCROFT - BELGIUM
We were supposed to stay at another woofing but we have been finally directed back to this farm. We were not supposed to be there for the first time so we only stayed for the weekend!
This place is incredible, surrounded by jungle everywhere, where you can meditate and have a real break from your daily life. And we enjoyed the food a looot, it was so good!
We stayed in contact during our trip to Costa Rica so we saw Michael another time on Caribbean coast to celebrate the new year, and we hope that we will have the opportunity to host him at our turn, in France. Thank you for all of this.
We still recommend them now that we are back in France, and we are not going to stop! Don’t hesitate to contact me for anything else.

Dalö Tsana is one of the most peaceful and exciting places I have been. In a wonderful way, a lot of different topics like permaculture, medicinal plants, spirituality, indigenous communities, and living in a community are coming together. You can discover and receive deep friendship, support, and being fulfilled after a good working day and amazing self-made food.
The different animals and people living on the farm will make you feel invited and comfortable. There will be a lot of laughing, talking, growing, and motivating each other. With the stunning nature around you can really get in touch with yourself again.
I’ll definitely recommend this special finca with its lovely people.

An amazing Finca with an even more amazing mission. Michael has created something special that allows volunteers to explore their creativity, spirituality, and connection with nature. When you leave, you’ll be wishing it was your first day all over again.

It took me a while to assimilate one of the most magical, interesting, happiest, genuine, real, transcendent, amazing, and fulfilling experiences I’ve ever lived. I came to the farm with absolutely no expectations and I’ve never been so surprised by what I received from Dalö Tsána. Every day I experienced something spontaneously different for which made me feel grateful. I met people that I would never have imagined that I would cross paths with, who taught me many things about life through cooking, gardening, conversation and simply sharing the same fleeting reality, each coming from different worlds. The atmosphere of the farm away from noise, rush, and superficial lifestyles makes you connect with nature and live in presence, appreciating every moment and detail of the day. I will always be grateful to Michael for giving me the opportunity to be part of this incredible project, I am sure this is just the beginning of something very big, and definitely, the way the world has to go. Thank you Michael, for making me feel that I can contribute much more than I know just by being me and for teaching me that sharing is the most enriching and magical thing when we do it from the heart. I’m sure you will still touch a lot of cores along the way. See you soon Dalö Tsána! Forever in my heart.
— Lucia Cordero - México
My time at Dalö Tsána was unforgettable. I met the kindest, warmest, and most amazing people ever. Michael was always open to collaboration and willing to listen. He encouraged everyone at the farm to create and be themselves, which led to amazing things. I had the best food, enjoyed cooking and trying food from different cultures. The views were astonishing and listening to nature all day was very healing. I loved working with the soil, learning about medicinal plants, and even doing some carpentry. Our trips to the waterfall made the weekends really special.
Dalö Tsána and everyone I met there has a special place in my heart. Thank you.
— Simona García - México

I had the best time of my life at Dalo Sana. The food was amazing, and every meal was healthy. The accommodations were the best I’ve had, and the view of the mountains was even better. The farm work was sturdy and crisp, giving a sense of energy well spent at the end of the day. Involving multiple people, the work tasks were usually done with companions which is something I appreciated. The people that I met, and the camaraderie that was forged, was something rare and beautiful. Michael was a great host and a really cool guy, and I hope I can return someday. Looking back, all I really need to say is that it was a heck of a good time.
— Samuel Cole - USA
Our two weeks at Dalo Tsana were phenomenal. The thoughtful people, beautiful location, creative energy, and meaningful work led to a very unique experience. The work was challenging but rewarding, and we always enjoyed helping Dalo Tsana move closer to their many important goals. Michael has a beautiful vision for the project and you can feel the true passion that he brings to the work and community every single day. The connections we formed were also unparalleled- from the moment we arrived our fellow volunteers immediately welcomed us and from that moment each day was filled with wondering, creating, and exploring. We definitely recommend Dalö Tsána to anyone who is seeking to learn more about themselves and the world around them and willing to get their hands dirty in the process.
— Zackery Stone - USA
I cannot recommend this host enough! He truly wants each of his volunteers to be active participants in their experience. So much care is put into this place, intention, and energy. It was a one-of-a-kind experience! A place to relax from one’s regular life, meet wonderful people, learn new skills, and harness others. It is work but work that makes you and all those around you fill with utter joy. I am definitely looking forward to going back.

Michael is an incredible person and Dalo Tsana is a very special place. If you feel a calling to go there, do it - you will not regret it in the end
— Tina Zamanipour - IRAN
For my time being in Dalo Tsana, I’ve had time to meditate, work, reflect and learn. We went to the waterfall, did a ceremonial Full Moon bonfire, and got on a trip to Puerto Viejo as friends. Dalo Tsana is a space to heal because it’s in the philosophy of the place to allow it. There is full of benevolence, sharing, gratitude, Love on the farm.

Everything can be created there. I see Dalo Tsana as an organic (in the sense of a flowing vibe) place, open to co-creation. It’s a community. And the landscape is beautiful and so are the hummingbirds.

Mike, who is a major element of the project right now, is a good-hearted person. I’ve seen him as humble, ready to listen and discuss everything. He has a creative mind and can share a lot with others. I’m glad Dalo Tsana has been put on my way during my trip to Costa Rica. It is, now, in my heart, a place that feels like a home I can return.
— Magda Sabrina Arbour - CANADA
I was able to reconnect with nature in a profound way during the month I stayed at Dalö Tsána. The pure mountain air, clouds, plants, and flowers were very healing for me. Michael has a beautiful vision for his farm and I was happy to contribute. I recommend this experience to anyone seeking to immerse themself in nature, meet new people, and build character.
— Andres Gallego - USA

Mickael it’s really nice, funny and smart person. You can trust him and open your mind to him.
Dalö Tsána it’s a magic farm, where you learn about yourself and more about nature. So, I will say, if you want a good experience with a good person, go Dalö Tsána!!
I don’t forget the moments I passed on the farm with Mickeal, Melo, and other woofers.
— Annalia Léonard - France

Volunteering at Dalö Tsána was a life-changing opportunity for me. The mountain setting was very tranquil and supported space for me to be able to relax, unwind, recharge, and heal. Michael is a wonderful person to work and collaborate with. He is unique in his ability to connect with many people of different walks of life and his knowledge based across many different domains from agriculture, permaculture, plant medicine, culture, technology, spirituality, herbalism, indigenous communities, and interpersonal relations. The accommodations were quite good. You will have your own room in a cabin, which is currently being renovated and improved better than it is now, which is pretty good. The air at the farm is clean, there is plenty of food, and many opportunities and flexibility to contribute to the farm in a unique way. Also, working with Mellow, an older Tico gentleman, living on the farm is a pleasure. He is a very gentle, grounded, attentive man and has a great energy to be able to work and learn from. The evenings are what make Dalö Tsána very unique. The sounds of the birds and roads, and the daily rain make this a very peaceful place to learn many things, contribute, and participate in your own healing/growing journey. Michael is very open to new ideas and is very open and receptive to learning new things regarding meditation, spirituality, culture, food, permaculture, herbalism, tinctures, etc. This is a place where you can learn and also contribute uniquely.
— Timothy Hatters - USA
I don’t know where to start a story about my wonderful experience with Michael. I’m proud of being a little part of his project, which for sure will develop and bloom with time and help of beautiful people who come there. Michael is an authentic human being, spreading the light and strong positive energy everywhere he goes with everything he does... kindhearted, wise, curious and willing to give and share the deepest parts of his heart with anyone in need. and he attracts the people, who are alike. We shared so many beautiful stories and experiences with Michael and other volunteers. I’ve been lucky to learn and receive knowledge every day. His Home in the mountains was such a discovery for me, when you’re there the time stops.. you can’t help but feel connected to the universal power and peace. If you’re looking for a spiritual place to recharge and enrich your soul and become a better human... become a part of great history. You need to come there. And you are needed.
— Maria Droenkova - RUSia

In the two weeks I stayed at Michael’s, I grew and experienced so much. The location was amazing. You’re able to fully experience the beautiful nature available in Costa Rica that you won’t find in tourist areas. I was disconnected from technology and society but completely connected with nature, myself, and the people I was with. The work was never boring because of the people I was working with and the flexibility to focus on tasks that interested me. I learned a lot about the environment and sustainability. I was also challenged everyday to find my own creative solutions to the problems or tasks at hand. The community that I found at Dalo Tsana is irreplaceable. Michael is an energetic, kind, and intelligent person. I felt I had a friend and a teacher, and I found a family within the community of people that were also living and working there. I highly recommend staying at Michael’s place, and if you have any doubts, do it anyways because I promise you won’t regret it.
— Sydney Kale - USA

What an absolutely amazing experience. Michael is an excellent human being. He is upfront, honest, and mindful in every interaction. Melo, the caretaker of the land, is an extremely humble, hardworking, and happy soul. The farm is home to three dogs, some cows, chickens and all the wildlife of the Costa Rican jungle. The property is supremely beautiful - truly a silent escape from the chaos most of us must navigate day to day. During my stay I worked on projects related to agriculture, construction, cooking, cleaning and creating. I built a piece of kitchen furniture from scratch, participated in a plant medicine ceremony, and took a tour of the Caribbean Coast. There’s even a private waterfall on the property! The accommodations are simple and the work can be challenging, but you’re sure to meet some amazing people and experience profound personal growth. If you’re looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle in order to reconnect to yourself, look no further.
— Everest Bond - USA
Volunteering at Dano Tsana was a really special experience. Apart from the breathtaking views and inherent catharsis that comes from being completely (i mean COMPLETELY) immersed in nature, Michael was an amazing host and helping with Dalo Tsana’s ongoing projects was really meaningful. We learned a lot about Costa Rican culture, the neighboring indigenous community, how to farm (!!), alternative types and perspectives on healing, and made some friends a long the way. Michael was a very caring, thoughtful and passionate host. He cares deeply about what he is doing and seeing that was special in its own right. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to really spend time in nature, embrace other cultures and perspectives, and work hard to build and support a unique place’s vision and goals. Missing Michael and wishing him all the best in his noble endeavors !!!
— Yelly Malinsky - ISRael

I volunteered at Michael’s farm in the mountains of Turrialba for a weekend. He gave me a bed and food in exchange for my work at the center. Also, me and the other volunteers got the chance to conect with our ownselves and nature (with each other, as well) in a spiritual way!
At first I wasn’t really sure what the experience would be like but it turned out amazing! We practiced meditation in the morning, then we took care of the farm and in order to close the day magically, we had a fire full of music, stories and fun!
These two days at the farm helped me a lot to deal with some of my emotional issues and I bet it will do the same for a lot of people so I highly recommend to visit, stay and help with Michael’s Dalo Tsána Center. :)
— Vicky Winter - Costa Rica

Michael is an amazing host! I had the chance to stay at his lovely farm in the mountains of Turrialba, Costa Rica.
Michael not only offered me food and a place to stay but also an amazing experience of connection with mother nature. I had the chance to meditate among the trees in the mountain, had a nice experience milking his cows, planting legumes, and even learning how to take care of general stuff on his farm.
I highly recommend Michale as a super host, his attention to detail and people orientation will make you have an experience for a lifetime in the mountains of Turrialba beneath the clouds of the beautiful tropical rain forest of Costa Rica.

Michael was an inspiring leader and an all-round great person. We would recommend Michael’s farm to anyone looking for an enriching woofing experience. In our 2 week stay, we learned about the local communities and amassed skills in gardening, agriculture, and carpentry. The people we met at the farm have become life-long friends.
Our experience at Dalo Tsana was unforgettable and invaluable. Thank you Michael!

I spent a month at Dalot Tsana and had a great experience here. The farm is on a mountain with a great view, and there were many times I went outside and felt like I was in a cloud. Michael was lovely to talk to and gave great advice. Even when he left me alone on the farm for a few days so he could go to work, there were adequate supplies in the house and company on the same property only a short walk away. My perspective shifted and grew lots while here thanks to the guidance and support from Michael and his family. I will never forget the yummy meals we cooked and shared together the picturesque views, and the great conversations we had, but mostly the feeling of profound acceptance that Michael offered me that I had never really felt before. I hope to return some day!

I traveled to Costa Rica this past April to surf learn more about farming and sustainable agriculture. After two weeks of traveling and surfng different beaches, I headed to the farm. When the bus dropped me off at the last stop on the rotue, I started the trek to the farm. The people in the town were very welcoming and even offered me a ride to the farm. I got to the farm at night and was greeted by Melo. The rooms were very comfortable and sleep was relaxing because of all the sounds of nature up there. After a day of working with Melo, who is a great man I learned a lot from, I was happy to meet Michael and his father Luis and the rest of his family. Michael and his family were extremely nice and generous to me with all of the amazng food they cooked, and games they invited me to play. I could not imagine a more welcoming home. The work on the farm was very fufilling aswell. Learning to milk the cows and make cheese from Melo was awesome. And working on the outside restrooms were especialy cool. Michael was truly inspiring to me because he is creating a beautiful place for people to go and learn, teach, heal and inspire. I felt very lucky to help out and work at a place like that. I went there to learn, but I learned so much more about myself than I expected. Michael is truly a great host and has a lot of wisdom to share. I hope to return again soon. Thank you to Michael and his family for a wonderful experience.

Being In Dalö Tsána is a place like no other. Clean air, surrounding mountains, good people. It’s a place to heal, a place to grow and learn.

Before the end of my trip we did a ceremony, words can’t explain how beautiful and moving it was.
