Living on the farm

Context

Located on farmlands in the Turrialba area, at the top of a mountain in the town of Guadalupe, a land of indigenous roots, Dalö Tsána offers the community a space for personal growth and refining, modifying and strengthening human behavior. At our center, one can connect with themselves and with nature on a spiritual level, detached from religions or philosophies.

Dalö Tsána takes its name from a term used in the Cabécar community for the sacred stones and tools used in ceremonies to heal people in the community from various ailments.  What we’ve created in the mountains of Turrialba is a space for healing, connection, learning and co-creation by offering a place to connect with nature, work on the land, eat fresh foods, participate in workshops, use medicinal plants, meditation, exercise and more.

Be part of our journey to get certified

We are on the road to produce organic products for our daily uses, for families in need, and selling. This requires the establishment of new procedures, standards, and mechanics of what we have been doing.

Since we started at Dalö we decided to not use chemicals, but our knowledge was limited and some fertilizers were not approved by organic agriculture entities. That’s why after 3 years of trying to reproduce medicinal plants, greens and fruits we want to start the process of getting certified as an organic farm.

These lands have been used in a traditional agriculture and cattle system. Some neighbors are interested just by listening to what we are doing.

Testimonies

Move around easily

We try to meditate every day. Knowing that our being is more than a body. Having time to feed our minds and spirit is key to what we do.

We cook together, sometimes a Costa Rican friend comes and delights us with delicious dishes. In general, we love food, and as time passes by we are always improving our kitchen.

You will receive guidance through our collaborators on how to move around.

The only thing we are looking for is people with an attitude to learn and move, we open space for creativity, innovation, and proactivity.

Growing together

As you arrive, you will see that this is your home now. We know that our mission is being built collectively and that makes all of us proud every day.

Every action counts, and that’s what we want to make as our philosophy or life, please leave behind all rush, all pressure, and join us open.

You will be part of our mission of bringing healing to multiple families, supporting families that are struggling to have an income, and rising consciousness for healthy lifestyles.

We all make this happen

Be part of the community

Dalö Tsána is trying to be a Non-Profit organization. One of the deciding factors in choosing this location for Dalö Tsána is the fact that is a farm. As such we can utilize our produce, crops, plants, and products made on the farm to cover a vast majority of our expenses. This means we require outside funding in order to provide resources, education, treatment, transportation, and donations for the projects we got involved in.

For this reason, what we ask is $400 for one week or $1200 for a month, which includes, light, filtered water, washing machine, bed, tools, materials, transportation from Turrialba, local and organic products. You can let us know what you want to experience form our activities, medicinal plants, fireplaces, ceremonies, and contributions we make to locals. The money goes towards your food for the stay, towards farm maintenance and the farmworkers, and for our long-term collaborators; professionals who have been working and giving up their time to continually help with Dalö Tsána and its requirements.

After spending some time at Dalö, you can have a clear idea of how the farm works and our intentions, we are interested in building community with intentional entities. We want you to come again under your terms, please reach out with a specific project, idea, product, service, or desire to stay on the farm.
Also, if you have to work online we just created an office where we have wifi for people that needs to keep their studies or digital jobs.

We are open to collaborations for new products and services, we are connected with different creators and projects that are looking for conscious partnerships.

Keep connected and let us know your ideas.

You will learn about permaculture, shamanism, herbal medicines, spiritual practices, psychedelic plants, and the local culture.
